He is the founder director of Kochar Consultants and is also a practicing partner in Kochar & Associates since 1977. A graduate in Commerce from Mumbai University, Law Graduate from Government Law College, Bombay and Chartered Accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

He has more than 35 years of experience in statutory audits, risk management, governance and compliance and Direct Tax practice. Mr. Piyush S. Kochar

A qualified Chartered Accountant since 1998, completed graduation of commerce from R.A. Podar College, Mumbai and schooling from Bombay Scottish School, Mumbai. Currently pursuing the course for Chartered Financial Analyst and has secured highest marks in India at Intermediate Level.

He is also the partner at Kochar & Associates, where he heads the Assurance and Advisory Services division, and has diverse exposure to Statutory Audits, Internal / Management Audits, Internal Controls Evaluation and Statutory Inspections and has been a speaker at the seminar on "Audit of Depository Participants" organized by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. A Chartered Accountant who completed his Post Graduate Diploma In Information Technology from S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research, in 2004, and qualified as a C.I.S.A. in 2006. He has also undergone training for ISO 27001:2005 ISMS Lead Auditor Course from BVQI and obtained the prestigious Diploma in Cyber Laws course from Asian School of Cyber Laws.

Heading the Information Systems and Risk Management division of the firm, he is currently engaged in information risk management and systems audits in the financial markets segment. He has 2 years experience of ERP implementation, systems analysis and design and Business Process Re-engineering, having worked with clients like Godrej Sara Lee Ltd, Hindustan Lever Ltd. General Mills India Ltd. (Pillsbury) etc.

On the social front he is the Treasurer of ISACA Mumbai Chapter for 2012 - 2013 and has held the post of CISA Co-ordinator for 2 consecutive terms He is also a member of the IT Committee at WIRC of ICAI and a core group member of the IT Committee of Bombay Chartered Accountants Society (BCAS).

He is a regular trainer on Information Technology for courses organized by ICAI for aspiring CA students. He has delivered various lectures on System Audits for Stock Brokers and on topics ranging from Web technologies to Public Key Infrastructure / Cryptosystem (PKI)
